Parking at the New National Hospital
The Hvannargata 2 car park serves the New National Hospital and is intended for patients, relatives, visitors and hospital staff. The building is operated by Checkit and has 503 parking spaces, of which 6 are for the disabled. The fee applies 24 hours a day.
Payment methods
For general parking fees, there are three options.
- Payment machine
Pay at the payment machine on site before leaving the basement. Two payment machines are located at each entrance. - Pay online
You can enter your license plate number into the payment gateway below to complete unpaid visits with a credit card. - Automatically to the bank
Check-it never sends fines. If payment is not completed using the above methods, the car owner will have the parking fee sent to their home bank, plus a banknote fee.
Cameras read and record vehicle license plates upon arrival and departure, and parking fees are automatically calculated based on the length of stay.
NOTE! If the car is owned by another party, such as a car rental company, fees may be added from the party that owns the car.

Weekdays from 07:00 - 17:00
390 kr. per hour
Evenings 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM and weekends
290 kr. per hour
If payment is not made, a bankclaim will be sent to the car owner +100 kr. banknote fee.
Charged for each minute spent.
Attendance under 15 minutes is free of charge.

Subscription methods
You can apply for a subscription by filling out the application form for parking at Hvannargata 2. Two subscription options are available, a monthly pass and a night pass. Each subscription is valid for one parking space. You can register one or more cars on the subscription, as long as only one of them is parked at a time.
