Ytri Tunga - Seal beach

At Ytri-Tunga on Snæfellsnes is a beach that is unlike many others in this country. Golden sand and almost certain to see seals. You can see more about this fun beach on Tripadvisor.

This popular place receives a lot of visits, and to cover the maintenance and development of the parking lot, a modest service fee has been established.

Two cameras capture all traffic coming down to the beach and also those saying goodbye. License plate recognition allows you to pay for your visit at a payment machine at the parking lot or online below.

With a day trip to Snæfellsnes from Reykjavík, you can see many different things in one day. Lukkutangi is responsible for the development and maintenance of the area that the tourists visit.

There are no fines for not paying on site, but instead using automatic lookup. In those cases, the car owner will receive a parking fee sent to their online bank account, plus a bank transfer fee.

NOTE!  Extra parking fees from rental companies may apply if you are driving a rental car and do not pay at site.

The fee is valid all day, from midnight to midnight, regardless of which parking lot is used.
